+1 looks like a Hydrocynus forskalii

It is possible, especially with how thin it is at this size. We need more pics. If its a vatf, both lobes of the tail will be either red or yellow, but if its a fatf it'll have a red bottom lobe like a goliath.

Probably brevis then. Brevis is the smallest with the least amount of coloring on the tail and have the smallest head to body ratio, but that's not especially apparent until they're larger.

Tanzaniae is the only other atf that I know of, and I don't think its one of those because they have the build of a vatf with the muted colors of a goliath.

Given all available info, using the process of elimination leads me to believe this fish is H brevis.

Edit- Looked at the pic again. He has a tiny little mouth all right. Brevis indeed.

Goliath is out the question...

Yellow Tail Vittatus is what I would put my money on. Do a search for shadowstryder VATF... some pics look like this guy but he def has a Yellow tail VATF

Nice pick up!!! I would buy

99% of the time they come in as vittatus and you see the different fish and pick it. Forskahlii looks just like vittatus with a more slender body and color only on the lower lobe of the tail. Brevis looks like a small, slender vittatus with a mouth that is much smaller in relation to it's body than any other ATF.
