ID this vieja/ paratheraps

I know everyone hates to scream hybrid,......
HYBRID!!!!

But then, maybe my tiny phone doesn't let me see some details that would cause me to say otherwise. I'm looking for a black lateral stripe but I don't see one.
 
I bought two fish similiar to this at five inches a peice. Thought for sure they were Zonatum. It's been four months and their color has'nt swayed any more towards Zonatum. How long does it take for these fish to color up? I might have to mark mine as hybrid also.

Maculicade don't have to have a visible black mark. We brought back Maculicada collected in Rio Jutiapa in Honduras....none of which had the belt you would expect. There is a faint black coloration on this fish...and that's what threw me. Sticking with my original call...

Just wondering.. what makes you think it is Zonatum and not Maculicauda?
 
I say black belt also,the more i look at the pics i think blackbelt more and more
 
Im no Vieja pro, but as soon as I saw the pic, I thought BB. then read, I may be right
