Looks like a tortuise to me, judgeing by the feet of it. Not sure what kind though. Yeah and there are poisonous snakes down there.

I live in Florida and the turtle you found is a "Gopher Tortoise, Gopherus Poluphemus". This Species is a SSC 1,2,3, a Protected Animal by the State of Florida and the Federal Fish and Game Agencie. Enjoy! :D

What did I win!?!? LoL:woot: :woot:

Put the tortoise back where you found it, and don't show those pics around. I'm pretty sure there are fines for even handling that species.

There are a few venomous snakes near Orlando:
water moccasin- thick black snake, mostly aquatic, bright white inside of mouth.
Pigmy and eastern diamondback rattlesnake- they have rattles, keeled scales, sandy color
Copperhead(usually further north)- hard to describe, thick bodied like moccasin, rusty head
Coral snake- red and yellow kill a fellow..... (black nose)

I think that's it...did I forget any?

Florida Riddon Snake, Thamnophis Sauritus Sackeni, T1. I think this is also another harmful snake in Florida, but rare.

LoL, Just found out that the Ribbon Snake is just a common Garden Snake, but protected by Florida State Law.

Considering the popularity of the common snake in the pet trade, if they would not enforce that law the mass exports would dramatically harm the species population.
