I was given 13 of these baby starfish all have 6 or 7 legs growing and I have no idea what type they are neather did the guy he never bought starfish and they ended up in his tank does anyone know what they are?

Micro starfish? He probably didn't buy them. Alot of times they are on your live rock when you buy it. None of mine had 7 legs though.

How big do they get?

If they are micro stars, about the size of a nickel I believe. They are good for your tank.

I actually have some that only have 2 legs, I don't know what happened to them, but every once in a while one shows up on the glass in this shape <. Mine usually have 4-6 legs.

one or 2 of mine have 3 legs the others 6 or 7 The ones in the tank with gravel will go onto the gravel but the ones with the sand never come off the glass
