Hey everyone I had a quick question I saw this gar looking fish in a lfs they didn't let me take a pic of the gar though it looked like a gar with a short slanted nose??it was black short and really fat about 8inches It looked nothing like a hujeta gar nor black spotted nor needle nose gar it looked like an actual gar with some sharp teeth ????

maybe just a black florida or a fake gar
 
No idea without a pic, just snap a quick one when no ones looking. Dont use a flash - might give yourself away .

Ok I'm going Down there tomorrow I'll see if it's still there and I'll take a pic,I dnt think it was a fake gar because last time I saw 2 Florida gars in there about a foot long really pretty purplish color with black spots in it's tail and a good size mouth,I asked how much it was going for and $60.00 while the spotted gars were $19.00 and I knew the spotted ones were not real gars because they looked like hujetas??
