They are beautiful. I've had the purplish kind but not sure where they originate.

These fish don't have to be a hybrid because they look different. Look at these variations of H. cyano and H. Caprintis.

Are you talking bout the fish I originally posted about? Because I talked to the breeder and it is a hybrid TexasXParrot. I don't have good pictures, but the other fish from the same spawn were all over the place not only in color but in shape.

That fish doesn't look anything like it had blood parrot, but I guess it could be a cheap red texas. Why ask for an ID on a fish you already know what it is

My point is a lot of people get these "texas" cichlids confused. There is h. cyano, h. caprintis, and h. tamasopoensis that get mixed up as "texas" cichlids.
