Beautiful fish! Looks like a tex hybrid to me (though don't ask me which of the two species) - for two reasons. One, I've never seen a tex look that beefy and get that kind of a nuchal hump on it, and two, you can see faint barring on it, which wouldn't come from a tex. Love him, he's absolutely stunning.

Actually texas do get bars. They just come and gowith stress and breeding.

That def a tex? i didn't know they had striped markings? first i thought Synspilum x Texas, but then Thought Barred Midas x Texas because of the striping.

What is it lol? i am thinking FH now.
