He mentioned a heater so I wasn't sure where he was located and it doesn't much matter if the fish is considered an invasive since it was kept in the closed property of his pond.
I wasnt insinuating he was doing something wrong or something by saying they are invasive there. I meant that if they are invasive there, they should flourish living year round in the pond. Thats all

Oh no,I didn't take your post that way.I was merely saying that it was moot whether the fish is an invasive or not since it was in his private pond.

yeah its south florida so they normally dont need a heater, but it dropped into the low 30s a few days in a row which isnt normal. On rare occasions like that i drop a heater in for them to warm up by, but since i didnt think i had any fish that needed it i didnt, so the day after it dropped down to 31 overnight i found the poor guy belly up.
