Is it ACTUALLY eating pellets? I'm still hung up on that. Any chance of getting a feeding video?
I have had many of them, when they were legal, and they would not even take shrimp/cut fish at all. I am also concerned about the slow growth. A healthy one grows ULTRA fast.

Whatever you did - I am DAMN IMPRESSED that they are on pellets.

As you should!

Sant alot people have had many successes feeding channa species frozen food......I dont know how or why you were not successful at attaining these goals. I have never had SH not eat frozen foods after a few days of starvation. Not such a rare occurrence afterall. But pellets and flakes .....ummm thats rare for a larger species... not so much with the dwarfs.

Maybe I wasn't patient enough? But at the time live fish was so much easier... heck, it still is.

if youre feeding goldfish i would disagree but again feeding live is taking a huge risk by tansference of diseases. Even when in quaranteen.

try a bare bottom tank for start mix the bloodworms and pellets together then slowly decreasing the bloodworms and increasing the pellets until they get used to pellets even if they are fed pellets imagine adult size micros maybe you got to buy a whole bucket and one bucket might just last a week or two its good to introduce them to an array of diff foods like pellets bloodworms and occasional livefeeders and when they get bigger introduce them to cut meat like chicken ,cut fish not forgetting the pellets bloodworms and live feeders
i would suggest bloodworm ,sunken pellets (best to get them used to floating ones) occasional feeders for the fry
and cut meat for those which has stomach big enough to finish all the feeders you just brought in few minutes

ok the thread has gone from id to feeding
mods close thread? thankyou.=)
