Idea for a 55g

yeah that stock sounds good but how many tiger barbs did you end up getting? if you dont have a school of AT LEAST 5 (preferably 6 or more) then they will drive you mad with nipping the other fishes fins
 
I agree with sarah. Tiger Barbs are likely to get themselves killed by nipping at the cichlids. if I were you I'd add another 5 tiger barbs in about a week.
