for my 125 I want to do a planted tank. It will include

4x discus two pigeons two wilds
1x african knife
1x gold nugget pleco
2x pearl gouramis
2x albino bristlenose
2x amazon sword
6x giant vals
1x melon sword
1x congo tiger lotus
carpet of micro sword
2x large drift wood.

what do you think?

sounds good. love the tiger lotuses. i own 6 pieces of them myself! whats tough about them is, i don't really know how to tell if they're dying or not... All the best with your set up anyways!

add 1 more discus to the bunch 4 just doesnt sound "safe"

4 discus is not a good idea. it can work but you will more likely have aggression problems. 6 - 8 in that tank would be better. I think for a planted tank it's better to go with all domestics. wilds seem to do better in a tank with lots of wood as this is thier natural habitat. domestics are raised in bare tanks and could care less how the tank is decorated.

but I want the wild color form what domestics have that color?

There are so many colors of Discus to choose from. I am sure theres got to be one with striking color.

would three green tefes be okay with the pigeons. I mean look okay

sure they would look good. just make sure the domestics are as large as the wilds. it's not easy to find wild juvies. just realize that with any discus with pb genes you will need a very light colored background and substrate or they will get peppering.
