as otherone said i dont think a high current is needed. it just made mine want to hide more as well. i would go with overfiltering i have mine in an 85 with a 500gph canister filter and other than weekly water changes really dont have to do too much with it and lastly an air pump is a must. just my 2 cents im no expert but i havent had a single problem with mine so far

Sounds good to me.

I currently am running three HOB filters on its aquarium and have a new pump coming Wednesday so that I can get the sump going and be able to take some or all of the HOBs offline, so filtration will not be a problem then or now. I already have an airstone in there, so that department is covered, too. There really isn't that much current, and it doesn't try to hide all of the time.

I honestly dont think they are hard to take care of other than having to buy grips of feeders, but maybe i just lucked out with the one i got lol, any way good luck with him man

lol thats funny. do you have him eating non live food?

Unfortunately it's not off of feeders yet, so I'm going to have to think of some other type of fish to give it to eat. I'm going to try to get it to take a piece of fish fillet tomorrow, so hopefully it will just eat that and stick with fish fillets as its main food until I get it on pellets.
