just moved the oscars to the 75g, now i have an empty 55 and wanted some ideas on what would be a good setup for this tank, how many and what kind of fish would wrk well in a 55

How about some Firemouths and Silver Dollars?

River setup with loaches, barbs and danios.

Cuban or Carpnintis would be my choice for singles.
Depends on if you want several smaller fish, one big fish, dithers, etc.

a small african cichlid selection would be nice... or a planted community schooling tank with like 10-15: cardinals, rasbora hets, black tetras, silver hatchetfish, and ummm cory cats!

lots of plants.. lots of duckweed.. few congo tetras, lots of corys, lots of otos, few baloon rams, a fancy high dollar pleco....... and a pbass..

it could be just like my 55

1) African cichlids
2) planted community tank (with like cardinals tetras or maybe rasboras or german blue rams and corys)
3) silver dollars and clown loaches

Try checking the stores for fish available or maybe try gulper catfish. Unique cat but very expensive.lol
