First get the oscars out of there:) They need more room already.
When you get it finished a nice planted community tank would look nice
Or a beta. HAHAHALOL

Yes your Oscars already need space... But hey I seen a pair in a 10 gal. til they were 6 and 4"...

Buy a 29 to 40 to grow out your Oscars.... Happier fish.. happier you... Much more Character....

Hehe frogs, newts...a gold fish... J/K man.. Convicts would last longer in there than your oscars... and they really only need around 25 gal. for a little school...

do you really think they need more room already:jaw-dropp ? they're hardly an inch and have only been in there for maybe five days.........i was planning moving them soon but not this soon :( .......but thank you for the advice......by community do u mean tetras and the like? because i already have had so many tetras and they kinda bore me........is there any type of cichlid that can be put in there? i cant think of any that stay that small. :screwy: ...........

It's your new beta arena!!!

forget about the newts and frogs cuz you can keep those in kritter keepers! I would get maybe some gouramis or even a pair of kribs would work in a 10 gal.

yea well i came home today...my dad was watchin the oscars for a weekend ..........they both died of ick  apparently so he tried to cover it up with another oscar and got a red instead of a tiger............so it looks like i only have one oscar in my ten ................im goin to get a bigger tank soon for it(125 probaly) and put it with my pacus when they get big.......and i think im goin for rams............i jsut got back from petco.....they had tiny blue rams labeled as bettas? i couldnt believe it..........so i will most likely pick a couple of them up once the new tank is set up.........thanks for the advice everyone..........

for a ten gallon tank i would suggest getting a pair of bolivian rams. They have beautiful color and they grow a bit larger than the blue rams. Plus they are MUCH hardier than the blue ram.

i dunno how your petco is, but if you have a local fish store, get your fish from them instead.

your oscars shoiuldnt be allowed to get past the three inch mark in the ten gal. After three inchs you risk stunting the growth of the oscar. Also dont feed your oscars feeder fish. You didnt say how they got ich but im bettign you use feeders for food.
First they arent good for your fish
second feeders carry parasites like ich and other worse ones.
third if you are gonna use feeders you need a seperet tank for quarntineing them for atleast two weeks to make shore they arent sickly or carrying anything
try useing a cichlid pellets oscars will eat anything.
