Ok I have a hell of a lot of Monster Fish and what I have changes weekly if not daily. I am trying to find a way to reduce food costs. As of today these are the current big eaters I have.

That is just the ones that are atleast 6" that I remember off the top of my head

I feed an assortment of floating and sinking cichlid pellets, massivore, crayfish, tilapia, shrimp, catfish fillet, green beans and cucumber.

I have been looking at adding something like this to the mix since it comes in 50lb bags what do you think?

Well it seems like a lotttt.
duanes duanes could help.

Wow,that reads like a vendor's stock list.Have you thought of thinning out the collection any? That would be most effective of all in cutting costs.

I actually run a fish store out of my house, Monster Fish of Texas, we specializing in monster fish that is why my stocking is changing weekly if not daily. I actually am in the process of filling a 900g pool pond I have been making room in my garage for the past couple hours to move my bigger catfish and gar into. We just got a warehouse that we are going to be moving into hopefully over the next month.

The main thing I am hoping to partially replace is the massivore, while both me and the fish love it, at a little bit over $25/lb it is just way too expensive for me to use all the time that is why I was hoping one of the pond feeds would be a good substitute

How does Otohime stack up in price? I remember RD. and Aclockworkorange saying this was a decent relatively low cost bulk pellet brand.

Outstanding.

One way could be doing a largish red worm (earthworm) breeding system. Once going it runs for free and takes relatively little work, but produces good quality food for at least some of your fish. It should not be considered as the single food for any fish, but it could replace a big portion of the expensive stuff. One can even freeze them (or freeze dry) to have protection against potential culture crashes.

I second feeding live worms. I culture red wiggler worms - it's super easy, they reproduce like crazy (when it's warm), they are safe, nutritious and fish love them. I have a 60+ tank fishroom and I can take a handful or two out of my bin a couple of times per week without an issue.
