ideas for stocking a 30 gallon

anyone want to give me some help with stocking a 30 gallon tank im going to be getting in about a month... im leaning toward a peaceful dwarf cichlid setup that i can put a puffer in with them.... any ideas


any other ideas would be nice as well

I would never recommend mixing puffers with dwarf cichlids. If you want dwarf cichlids, go with cories, small species of plecos, tetras, pencilfish, hatchets and otos for tankmates.

You will probably have to go one way or the other. If you want dwarf cichlids, go with Lupin's idea. If you want puffers, get a small pack of SAPs.

Depending on the footprint a single gulper catfish MIGHT work..Maybe a red wolfish..

But no puffers with dwarf cichlids..

I would go with:
a pair of dwarfs
a smallish pleco
6 cories
6 hatchetfish
5 neon tetras

Puffers are always cool I'd go with a pair of those and a nice pleco. I love my Gold Nugget. Some cories would be good too.
