So I had this genius idea to use my 75 gallon as a growout for cichlids, but I was gonna grow out an oscar. Now my mom told me she absolutely will not have an oscar at all. Apparently she thinks they are hideous! :screwy: :irked:
So know I am looking for something permanent. Here's what I came up with:

Option A:
1 Chocolate Cichlid
11 Buenos Aires Tetra
1 Spotted Raphael Catfish
1 Green Terror
(or)
1 Gold Severum

Option B:
1 Flagtail Prochilodus
1 Spotted Raphael Catfish
1 Salvinii Cichlid
1 Green Terror
(or)
1 Texas Cichlid

Option C:
1 Red Devil
(or)
1 Red Terror

I like options A and B best, but I also like the bigger, more aggressive fish. What do you guys think? I'm also taking other ideas, but please try to keep all fish central/south Americans, and I don't want any small fish like tetras, and dwarf cichlids. No discus, festivums, and Angels either, because I don't like discus and festivums that much, and I already have a bunch (8) of angelfish in another tank.

I like option B basically because I'm considering a gt or salvini myself and have always loved flagtails, however I have never kept them my opinion is based solely on what I've read. As for plan C, red terrors get too big for a 75, a red devil or midas would be a better option

Flagtail Prochilodus get too big for a 75 and really do best in schools. You cant go wrong with option 3 with a monster glass banging wet pet. A big koky Midas or Flowerhorn are gorgeous. I like option 1's stocking as well. Id do severum over Gt. Gt's can get pretty tempermental, and so can chocolates and you dont want that to clash.

ok new idea...get an oscar but say its a rare south american tetra

Red Devil

So, the red terror is out, and the green terror is out of option 1. By the way, she knows what oscars look like, because we used to have three (at different times) that we raised from 1 inch babies to 14 inch babies. So here's the new lists.

Option A:
1 Chocolate Cichlid
1 Gold Severum
11 Buenos Aires Tetra
1 Spotted Raphael Catfish

Option B:
1 Green Terror
1 Salvinii Cichlid
11 Buenos Aires Tetra
1 Spotted Raphael Catfish

Option C:
1 Red Devil/Midas Cichlid
(or)
1 Black Belt Cichlid
