hello all, i have this 100gal tank 7ft.long by15x15.just curious as to what kind of african cichlids i could put in their? i esd thinking of s bumble bee, powder blue, yellow zebras, frontosas? i am totally new at af cichlids. so any ideas would be great. also i wanna go with as many as i can fit in their. i have 3 double filters hang ons so 6 filters. i have the hole backside lined up with air filers, blowing up bubbles , looks great so far.and i have a couple of power jets on each side making good water flow. i have added some cichlid lake salt and i have a few big rocks and a plants and a log decor in their. it looks just great but i have no cichlids. any ideas:headbang2

Try selecting a lake or region you really like and work from that.

Tropheus tank! :D Tropheus morii or something would be amazing in that tank. You could easily keep 12-18 in there with some Spathodus or Eretemodis (spelling?), that would be an extremely interesting tank.

cool ideas! i have the tank set up just giving it another day to run.really thinking tanganyika. i have 4 julidocromis so far in my 55 waiting to go into the 100gal 7ft long tank. i am thinking of adding a calvis or two, maybe a duboisi or two.gold head compress, brevis, orange leleupi:drool: and maybe more julid species like dickfieldi, gombie. my sister might give me back some of my cichlids i gave to her. like the albino pecock cichlid, bumble, powderblue.yellow labs, would that be a good idea?also i was wondering if adding some gobies would be ok! i seen this cool dimond gobie cichlid online some were, would it be alright in the af cichlid tank?dont wanna go too off base here! I just got a big rock[texas holey rock for the tank plus a few other rocks fake plants and log decor. so their is plenty of hiding spaces for the young cichlids i am starting off with.ill be adding more tx holey rock down the road. this tank really looks great so far if i say myself. ill take pics and post as soon as i add the julids and the calvis.maybe tommorrow or the next day.i wanna make sure everything is just right before adding fish. one more question. i added cichlid salt, the guy at one of the local lfs here said it would be better for the fish.any one use this cichlid salt?:Dagain thanx for the ideas.:WHOA:

one more tang native i forgot 2 mention that i wll eventually get is the Synodontis Multipunctatus Catfish, its leopard like spots are awsome and i think its spawning methods are crazy!:nilly:
