i have recently started a Tang tank in a 55 that other fish out grew and rather than it sit in the basement its in the office now. I have a Few babies in there syn, julie, cylinder, alto and a calvus. But was thinking of adding a couple top level fish any good suggestions. Or what are the most popular used for this application. Bottom line I would like them to be happy and prosper in there.
thanks:tropicalf:tropicalf:tropicalf

African butterfly fish is topwater, not sure how it would do with african cichlids though.

butterfly's have lower ph reqs. and the afro cichlids would eat its long, trailing fins.

I kept butterfly fish, and african cichlids together, and never had a problem.
I found that if I kept them all well fed they didn't bother anyone.

also, I kept my african cichlids at 7.6 PH, and my butterflies were getting ready to breed until the female butterfly took out the male.

The only thing I have found with the butterfly is that you need to make sure they are eating.

Also, mine have NEVER jumped.

Get some Cyprichromis or Paracyprichromis. Then you still have a Tang themed tank.

:woot::woot:thanks guys I am currently steady 8.0-8.4 ph, depending on kit or time of day so I was looking for other tangs. Im gonna check for some Cyprichromis or Paracyprichromis. thanks a lot guys.:mwave:
