Ideas how to bring back almost dead bichir?

Is it possible it was shipped using sedatives and they just put too much in, so it’s taking a bit longer to recover?

I had a second WC sen arrive about 30 minutes ago and it’s almost dead, the water smelled foul so I made a small tub with fresh water and a bubbler, it’s improved a little but is still very weak and close to dying, Any ideas other than what I’m doing on how to improve it’s survival chances?

Could be, but I let the seller know and he didn’t mention sedatives

, she just ate a bunch of tilapia, I think she’s good, this is the craziest thing I’ve seen in 30 years in this hobby. Thanks for the suggestions guys!
