Ideas on Cichlids from a South American Bio-tope

You can add about 6 angels try to get the ones that look like the Way ones and then add some drift wood but don't let it cure fully as little bit of tanents will give it a natural feel and the rest of plants is all our to you .I suggest you may get some ideas from Rachel's o riealy (don't know the exact spelling ) aquarium "River bank aquascape"

I've tried several times to keep sevs with angels & haven't had luck. Angels always end up getting beat up. Largest tank I tried this in was a 125 though so maybe the extra room in a 180 would help. I have a huge chocolate now that is a complete psycho, angels wouldn't work with him at all.

If you're determined to try it, go with inexpensive angels first as a trial run before dropping big $$ on Altums.

I have done the combo of severums with angelfish and chocolates with angelfish before. It worked out both times. But this is another example of different personality on fish. I will try a cheap angelfish first as you said.
 
Green sevrum are nice fish. I have a red line gold now but what I would like to have is a group of rotkeil

Nice, I am planning on getting a red spot gold those are so ''sexy''... they are a sexy fish lol...... not sure if I am the only one to call a fish sexy.
