Ok went to the lfs today to get some more pods. while I was there I picked up a six line wrasse and 2 green chromis... These are suppose to be "active swimmers" so they seem to make my tank POP and little more...

Also I broke up my rock like you guys said. Let me know what you think. I will tell you it was a B!T@H though... They were dense... I had to whale on them fro like 10 minutes straight. Bonus is I got some good rubble to go in the fuge :D

true... all in due time however. I need to work on getting the rock/aquascaping thing completed before i start putting too much in there. That's why I only have the 4 right now...
 
Six lines are pod eaters and they can be aggressive as they get older so keep a close eye on your mandarin now.
 
I had read that and addressed my concern to the lfs. He said "yes they eat pods but we feed mysis and he'll prob consume mainly that. And since you are dosing the tank every two weeks you'll be OK"

Whether or not that is true... I don't know. The wrasse has been eating brine mysis and NLS in my tank so hopefully he won't be too pod crazy

I personally would have avoided the wrasse if I had the mandarin but you may be good since you are dosing pods. I know my melanurus wrasse is literally always hunting and sneaking around the tank trying to pick off any pods and it gets more than its fair share at feeding time. Its always on a mission for food.
 
as true with my mandarin. I know he eats mysis and brine and will eat nls on the occasion, but still is a pod hunter. I guess all i can do is watch them both. If someone starts to get skinny then i'll adjust stock accordingly...

I'm dosing a jar of DT's every 2 weeks (payday). How many do you think are in a jar?
