Ok, I'm trying to get as many options as possible. Right now My ideas are a discus tank but I have to get a 55/75 before I start, a cichla/polypterus tank in my 30 and steadily upgrade as they grow. But I was wondering what I could do ca/sa cichlids wise? Starting off with my 30 gallon, doesn't have to be their tank for life as I can upgrade in the future, but preferably if it held them a while. My dad wants colorful, I want semi-peaceful atleast and possibly easy to breed( favorite thing ever lol ) any ideas are welcome :D
Side note: I used to have a group of creni notophthalmus, I know it's a different section but I'm interested in finding those if anyone knows who has them or used to.

You can do a pair of any of the following - Rainbow cichlids, Cryptoheros Sajica, C. myrnae, C. septemfasciatum, C. spilurus, Laetacara curviceps, L. araguaiae, L. dorsiger, L. flavilabris, any species of Apistogramma, either species of Ram or any of the dwarf pike cichlids.

I think Discus Origins might have had C. notophthalmus for sale in the past.

How long would it take a jag to grow out of the 30? I used to have one but regretfully sold it....
