Thanks Chrigu !

Looks like i'm on the hunter for two extra Channa's :D

May i ask what gave it away ? :)

I keep a channa bleheri to, and a friend of mine keeps some channa andrao. You can see the difference between those two very clear, just look at some pictures. Do you keep both species in the same Aquarium? If so, please separate the two, they could fight.

Nice channa you have there. I would agree with Chrigu. U should separate them. Channa bleheri can grow a max size of 8-9Inches while the other is much bigger. cheers

It is not much about the size.
Channas don't tolerate one another from the same species as a rule of thumb.
But what they hate even more than their conspecifics is other channas of other species.

Even if they were a perfect match, personality wise, it'd end up with one or two deaths.

Can only echo what's been said durst is andrao second is bleheri .

Separate then asap once settled in tgeybwull fight to the death.

As for telling them apart there are many differences but the most obvious that'll show regardless of age or stress levels is the tail fin . Bleheri have red blotches andrao have a blue tail with no red blotches .
Cheers
