What kind then and how big will it get? It is 2 years old and about 4 inches.

Probably because a lot of the euruptus/featherfins sold in the trade are a hybrid of 2 synos. A lot like the midevil thing, but with synos you can usually spot the difference with a good pic.

Definitely some sort of Synodontis.
