Hi Ladies n Gents, hope your all well and staying as safe as poss in the odd/scary times.

I was hoping for some help identifying what type of peacock bass my friend has , was labelled as kelberi but was advised on my other post that this is unlikely ( my bass sadly died ) but this one looked the same as mine did up until recently then the speckles have really took over now , I was wondering if this has made it any easier for those with more experience to help identify him/her I'd say the fish is roughly 5" at the moment but just a rough guess. Thanks for reading , D

Thank you , that was my guess but didn't want to say it out loud with some sort of back up, well was bought as was one of the smaller specimens of peacock bass ? gotta love the LFS's oh well he's committed now , I have a sprinter van to help him collect his next tank. He was looking at 180g 6x2x2 but if go ogle is correct in its sizing 3ft maybe a lil more ? Is that correct give or take a couple inches?

And if they are 30+ inches what dimensions tank is he looking at , surely a tank has to be atleast 3ft front to back ?

They are simply incredible fish , I bet cleaning the glass inside is fun ? my 14" oscar scares me ? . I'll pass the info on to him, think he's going to have to have his floor reinforced for sure. I'm going to have a little search on here for people in a similar position and find out if they bought or built there tank and out of which meterial, I'll keep the pics coming when i notice any changes in the fish appearance , keep fingers crossed for a xingu but prep for a temensis. Thanks again Ladies n Gents .

Can't wait for the day he buys one of those , he gives me such a hard time when I dodge my oscar coming to bite me
