Identification pike cichlid

A lot of lugubris pikes look similar when young. Yours is likely a sp. Venezuela. It'll get up to 18 inches for a male and up to 14-15 max if a female. Overall, they are mellow to fish too big to eat but will have no problem establishing dominance over other fish. Not a bully in the traditional cichlids sense.
It's a hardy fish but needs clean water low in nitrates and zero nitrite and ammonia. The fish can be kept in a range of temperature between 76-84. Middle of the range is best.

Possibly, but to my knowledge Strigatas typically have more spots on their head. They are also far less common, however its still a possibility as they are nearly identical when young
