Hey all,
I tried this a few weeks ago for an id. He/she would not cooperate for pic or video. Purchased from my lfs as a flowerhorn which I don't believe it is. Any help would be appreciated.

Looks like Festae.

I agree I'd like a better picture but why would you say hybrid from that picture. The tail spot is in the upper 2/3 of the caudal peduncle so clearly not an Uro. I don't see hybrid I see Fastae.

I would say hybrid before pure festae for a few reasons. Young female festae have a full row of distinct markings along the lateral line, even when their stripes aren't showing. This fish is missing the second and last 2 markings, and the middle ones are blended together - just like some fh are.

All festae I've raised had red fins by that size while the OP's are still the same color as the body. The marking on the dorsal fin is also smaller and starts further back than any festae I've seen, but just like almost every female fh. The blue around the cheek and lateral line just doesn't look right for a festae either. And it would be pretty unlikely for a festae to be accidentally mixed into a shipment, or for someone to trade one in without knowing what it was. On the other hand, most people will call any hybrid a fh even if it's really not.

I'm guessing this fish is festae mixed with a zz fh.

It's a mix of some type. Why would you not think it's a flowerhorn when that's what you bought it as?

Not seeing the festae at all like some have said.

It was mixed with a few JD's. I kind of felt bad for her. Doing pretty well. Active and eating well. Wonder how she'll turn out?
