You beat me to it, Teleost, 100% Central Stoneroller. That's a damn good sketch and description. The smaller ones are probably the females he was mating with before you interrupted. Are they fat (gravid)?
Not bad drawing at all, it was enough to direct me right to the family of fish, then with the location where it was caught and the size, as well as the breeding tubercules shown (indicating a breeding size male) this was enough to rapidly narrow the choices. Good job.

The male has started digging wholes all over the tank and swimming along side one of the females. The other female seems to think she is a shiner. Maybe I'll get babies.
Does anyone know what other types of fish I might find in central texas? I've been all through the TPWD website and their fish list seems to be incomplete.
