As for the head shape being different, that's easy to explain.
Your face doesn't look like anybody else's face on this board, so why should all fish have the same face?
my 2 smallest piranhas look like siblings (same age, and same purchase location, it's a possibility) but they don't look like they're related to the other 2 fish of the same species.
Sometimes you find the difference of features in things as usual as invertebrates, I have hermit crabs that I can tell who is who, just by looking at their faces. Sounds weird, ok, I'll be the first to admit it, but it's true.
That's why you go on more than just head shape, or sometimes body shape. You might find one with a short face, a long face (like the one you posted ^^) or that is longer-bodied, or hunchbacked, or even sway backed!! All in the same species.
They are two great looking fish, and are a nice pickup, but remember, if you're not sure based on one feature, take a look at the overall fish, and then decide if it shares more characteristics with a fish of known species.
