ID'ing Cichla

Never thought I'd see the Matrix providing the quintessential framework for the cichla movement. Impressive!
 
I know right, but it does hit the nail on the head. Anyone starting out is blind and will see the light one way or another. This is no small task and is a life changing experience to say the least. This aint tetras or guppies this is CICHLA! Haoo Haoo Haoo!
 
now i gotta watch the matrix trilogy, lol. i still haven't watched them all in a row.


I wasn't sure where you were going with this at first, Mike. I see both sides with me. There was a reason, besides the fact that I didn't see the allure at first, that I didn't get Cichla. I still don't know if I'm going to be able to keep this tem forever, but I'm working on it. I still have a while, though. The orinos are here to stay and I'm thinking about getting some more peacocks, but not sure which right now. I don't just want a bunch of orinos, but I like them a lot more than mono/ocel. I don't see myself being able to house a bunch of tems. I'm having a hell of a time finding a cheap 300 wide, which is the largest I can fit downstairs. It will hold me over until I can buy pre-cut acrylic sheets and build a tank in my basement. OK, enough of my off-topic ramblings.

Anyway, I know I haven't been doing everything right, but I'm learning. At least I haven't lost any in a while and mine are eating and growing like mad.

Hey that's all that matters, but since I know you personally I know you have had to step your game up tremendously and if I must say so myself you are doing everything that we all have done. We have all been there the looses the doubt. Your passion for Cichla will make you make the right choice. You have seen my home aquarium personally and even I doubted myself in the beggining ( the first MFK meeting) but since then I have rised to the challange and still forsee more challanges ahead but I would consider you dedicatd all ready. You have had trial's and tribulation's and your still wit it. So that showes a lot. Some will never get it and you my freind have seen the light! Took the Red Pill twice!

agreed.
IMO it doenst matter.
even if not buying from a reputable dealer,just be satisfied with what you got.
cichla are cichla.
you learn form you mistakes.
doing this,you'll learn how to ID since you know what to look out for since you already for example know what a mono looks like.
honestly,hearing people complain that they didnt get what they want etc. just sickens me....
 
It is funny how things work out. That Matrix reference does fit the definition of CREAM pretty well doesnt it?
