IDs, and Breeding Question.

Pseudotropheus johannii have many different variations. Some females are solid yellow/orange, while others have faded-thick brown or even black stripes. Just like some males are almost solid black with faint blue while others are blue with distinctly darker stripes. I have two males that are on opposite ends of their color spectrum and of my two large females; one has a dark lateral stripe and the other is almost solid orange. Of course, it really makes no difference if your fish in question is a hybrid or not unless you want to have pure-bred fish for breeding/selling purposes and you can see what your fish looks like much better than I can haha.

You know that makes a ton of sense, my friend just got a male johannii and it looks nothing like the ones you see on most of the pictures, but thats exactly what it is.
Thats true, I am not into breeding these fish, if it happens it happens and if the fry survive in the tank, then thats cool too. I am more into breeding other things lol
Thank you so much :)
