If you must get in there, first lay down a board to help distribute your weight more evenly.

If is is a perfecto 220 the bottom glass is 16mm.

ive been in a 150 glass no problems. tank even had a chip in the bottom and i weigh 150 lbs. BUT if your putting down tile do not step on the tile that is on the glass. two hard surfaces like that with alot of weight on em could cause problems.

i also get im my 400g 1/2" glass no problems.

Many people that you see climbing in tanks either have custom tanks that set supported on the entire bottom and have thick glass (we're MFKer, we like overkill) or have a plywood tank. Plywood tanks are excellent because they can take pretty much anything on the bottom that won't go through the epoxy. You could probably fit a few people in a plywood tank.

from the other thread... the GE type 2 has the anti fungal/bacteria stuff in it.... some have used it with no issues... but ........

they type 1 also comes in a window and door.. normal tube is blue and silver.. the new tube is white and sorta looks like it has water splashed on it..
