i dont know if its really possible to over feed if you feed them sensibly.
In my mind overfeeding refers to feeding so much water quality conditions are detrimented. if you keep water quality high you can feed as much as you want.

I only feed Hikari foods and the japanese swears it's the best in the world. I do see my fish color up brighter compared to feed the domestic brands found at Petsmart. Large waterchange, good water flow, and 2 feedings a day will help your fish grow faster.

The growth hormones are often released in response to stressors that exist in their environment. Eliminating the stressors by maintaining a clean environment definitely helps a lot with their growth rate. Expect significant growth spurts once their environment improves.

yes i learned that no matter how well you take care of them, some fish are slow growers and just need time.

i do over 50% a week more like 60-70%. I notice a big difference in their growth rate,then when i was doing 30-40% and i feed the same(but they get a good variety of foods,pellets as main but different foods add three times a week)
