If I sold my Atabapo Fire, how much would it be worth

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
took a while but it's been going through spurts. now about 9". the shingle it stayed under was about 7-8" and stuck out of it by an inch. now just beefin up but no real color changes other than the eye marks getting darker and fins more red.

Guess I'm helping with the red by adding cyclop-eeze and astaxanthin powder to my mix.

dang, thats good....last month it was like 8 so another inch........Read that its closely related to lents and marms so should be about 14-16 inches TL when done, most like 14, hopefully starts to color up soon. I want to see that guy man.......

I'm just happy to finally have another fish that it doesn't chase or torment, Heros Severus. would get the rest of the Severus but think they're all male. might get them anyway as this one has helped the Fire swim around more.

Here's what I've always seen of what should be a full grown...

Not only that ~ raising Pikes in a community tank helps break them from live 'feeders' and I think they do better in general. The 'fire' pair we have are a real disapointment - never got rid of HITH plus they are skinny & sickly-looking. NOT what we wanted when bought last spring. Would say yours is in the range of $150 ~ TUIC price for 8"-9" last year. Will probably reach 12" to 14", let us know when red color starts deepening, congrats on having a NICE one!

Hey Matt, Ill swap you straight across for my 12''+ female lenticulata. OOOHH Yeahhh!! Let that one roll around for a few. A fat healthy pellet eatin TRUE lenticulata girl in exchange for that sickly little atabapo boy.JK. Thats a great lookin little pike you got and I would like to own one. Think about it though....

hahahaha, thanks for the offer Rob, but im keeping this guy. Raising him for to long to let him go, I have to witness the transition myself in colors....Thats for the infor MTN Pike, thats about what I figured.

Plus a 12 Lent would pretty much kill everything in my tank right now....hahaha

Rob, why would you want to get rid of your Lent. Personally I prefer pikes with Lots of patterning to the all one red Atabapos or cobras. :D
No offense Matt, I like Atabapo just a matter of my taste.:)
Why don't you show some updated pics of your Lent. If you really don't want her ship her my way. I would gladly take a true Lent.

hahaha, its a true lent too. But I know what you mean Shawdow.....Lents are beautiful, as are Marms and Cincta because of the patterns....>The Fire actually Retains its striped pattern throughout its life as well from pics on Kutty's site. So it is not just a bright red pick, it has coloring on it that varies alittle more with more pattern......so differs from cobras, trapajos and xingu I's in that sense.....But I believe those get alittle more intense reds from pics ive seen....>Fires, just keep the striping, like that pic Taz posted up a little while again. (you know I had to defend my fish man, hahaha)

I know bro, I meant know offense. Like I said I really like them, it is just a matter of how many Washingtons I have. And there is only so many to spend on pikes.:grinno: So I have to get my favs first.:)

I hear you....Trust me man, I want some marms too......My goal would be a tank of Lents, Marms, Cincta, Cobra, Fires and tapajo reds......Think I could pull that off if I could find all those at once all at the same size all at the same time (holding my breath now)
