Is it just my imagination, or does this seem true? : The bigger the fish tanks are, the more over stocked they look ! ? ...........

I had been looking at a few pix that were recent posts on here. Some look so tight, don't see how those poor fish move about without rubbing/bumping into one another? The water quality looked wonderful, just thought they looked crowded.

depends on who it is and the fish

i think sometimes larger tanks can look overstocked even if done correctly just because there are more fish than in smaller tanks. and it also depends on the size of the fish in there. if someone has a 55g tank with 50 little fish equivalent to 1 cu. in. each [and of course filtered correctly, but i'm talking just about appearance], while that's stocked about right it still looks like a lot of fish! lol

Does any one want to know, by names of the posters and their pix, what tanks I'm referring to? or not?......just didn't want to 'name names' on my opening post. Don't want to offend others, just was wondering though?......

You have to take into consideration the depth also, when seeing a picture or a vid from the front of a tank.. you can't always tell how much room there really is...
