There are no freshwater Ballistidae (triggers) but there are fw representatives of the Tetraodontiformes. Pipe fishes and seahorses are very closely related, they are in the same family, different subfamilies, and of course different genera. For comparison, orangutans and humans are also in the same family, different subfamilies, and different genera. So if this pipefish you speak of is a 'fw dwelling' type of seahorse, is an orangutan a 'forest dwelling' type of a human? I know I am being a pain and I apologize, but I think I have a valid point.
