My O snagged a little bullhead. It got stuck in his mouth. I waited about an hour and he eventually got it out. Neither died and both are still doing well, this was about 2 years ago. The O never tried to eat another tank mate after that.
In the wild Bass love to eat baby bullheads.
When I moved in, the pond behind the house had lots of stunted bluegills & Bullheads. We stocked it with Largemouth Bass about 10 years ago. I have not seen a Bullhead in at least 5 years, come out of that pond.
