yeah i always check aquabid,,, just tough paying 35 bucks or so for shipping,,, when the fish are 20 or 25+ lota bucks for two fish,,,, have two lonely female double red cacs,,, and the lone male steel blue,,, dont ask why i got it ,, just addicted to apistos i guess...

That A. Borelli male is absolutely stunning! I don't think I've ever seen one that big before and his colors and fins are amazing :) Congrats.

That's what happens in auctions I guess... a few seconds after bidding started somebody yield "$40!" and it just kept going....not George's fault :D

I didn't take the fry out. Checked last night and there were a few left by mom's side. They've grown quite a bit. Not sure if they can survive eventually....

Thanks David :) Strangely, he's getting picked on by the females. :screwy:

Each female took over half of the tank. The smaller one is herding fry. The bigger one is guarding a cave under a piece of driftwood (eggs??). They clash in the middle of the tank occasionally, and both try to keep the male out of their territories :grinno:
