I understand that, but your water readings show that you don't seem to have enough biological filtration to handle the bioload. Just add more media to your existing filter then.:headbang2

i just put in a bottle of KING BRITISH PROFESSIONAL SAFE WATER see if that helps

When you clean your filter, use tank water NOT tap water to save your bacteria.

when i got my ext filters i have now they was my first, the LFS guy told me i HAD TO wash all the filter in tank water apart from the sponges, 4 them thay HAD TO be ran under fresh tap water:eek:

I mean bioballs, sponges, ceramic rings, things like that. Surface area for beneficial bacteria to grow on !

i put in the chem's to see if it would help out, why CHEMICALS= BAD IDEA?

ill leave it 4 a few more days then ill do a water test again, when would you do a water test mid week?
when i do should the ammonia & nitrite read 0 zero.
