If you absolutely had to choose other than cichla?

dat's, cats, con's, fronts, pikes, arows, the list goes on.
 
prob marine since i have a sps coral and also marine fish only tanks for about 7 years.. i do fish the sw but not the work. i would have to say marine fish only. i do have a wild african cichlid tank but they are ok, i like more aggressive fish.. they do have nice colors since i only keep peacock african, and i like their personalities :D if i had to choose another fish i would have to pick pike cichla, pref. cobras and rio tapajos
 
It matters what you want in a fish. Some can be like freinds that greet you at the tank. And then there the ones that act like they might kill you if they got the chance.----------What got me addicted was when I invited the neibors over for feeding time and when the feeders got dumped in and my red tail payara smacked the first one the neighbor lady covered here little boys eyes. I instantly yelled YES. Ever since it has been nasty predators for me.----So try some payara like a armatus and i bet it would get you right back into it.
