If you give the cave spawners a cave

I've spawned Guianacara stergiosi before and found that they loved caves. Got this group of an undescribed Guianacara a couple of weeks ago. I've been thinking about doing a species tank for them, but decided against it since they looked happy in the 300.

So Wednesday I added a cave that only they can get in...got eggs Saturday Eggs still look good 24h after so I'm hopeful

I'm convinced! Pete has developed some kind of sexual enhancement for his fish, and he's keeping it a secret. JK, I really need to do the same for my stergiosi. My pair is always going nuts together, but never really have a set spot where they can spawn. I think a cave fit for them is just what I need. Great job...again, and keep us updated on the fry.

A cave definitely helps. I used to use a coffee mug on its side.

I've always had good experience keep them as a group. Usually only the dominant pair would breed, but they are fun to watch - lots of interactions.

The dominant male is 6"+. The others are probably ~4"
