If you had one billion dollars

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I'd set up the following:

12 meter x 5 meter x 1.5 meter 90,000 liter indoor pond. It would be a monster catfish rescue, with 1 of each of the following:

-Pangasius
-Tiger shovelnose
-Asian red tailed catfish
-Red tailed catfish
-Walking catfish
-Achara catfish

rescued from either too-small home aquariums or from the local Big Al's where they haven't been selling and have been growing.

Upgrade all the fish (both existing and planned for) in my 473 liter tanks (listed in 'About' in my profile) to a 3.6 meter x 60 cm x 60 cm, 1,300 liter tank and add an Asian upside down catfish.

a second house for aquariums
it would be super cool to have two 1000 gallons
one for goliath tiger fish/old world
and the second one payara/new world

If you had one billion dollars what kind/size of aquarium would you set up?

Something like...

I would start with the above nursery tank

Then I would add a little bigger tank (Pictured above & below)

Then I would install something like the tank above.
Who knows what I would put in it.
It would be fun stocking it!

Meh ill donate some to the fish rescues. Buy and build a house that can safely house alot of fish tanks with generators

Fly in the Amazon and collect the fish myself.

Hire an aquascape professional as I dont have the mind to make it look natural IMO like some of you guys.

set a trust fund to keep operations running for a long time til the end of time lol

what about creating a huge paludarium with a boa constrictor and piranhas in the aquatic part?
Only problem is the pygos…they will kill much of what hits the water, even if they aren’t as bad as their reputation suggests.

Only problem with traveling the world to see the fish, is not getting to enjoy keeping them myself.

I have 2 dream tanks:
1: Huge room devoted to my Amazon biotope where I grow real plants and let birds and lizards go around it freely as well.
2. Pond/tank. Put a window in the basement and dig a hole next to it.

I’d love a paroon shark one day. Saw one at animal kingdom and fell in love with how shark like they really are:
