If you had this tank habitat what would u put in it

can we not start flameing people. please dont get my thread closed

i realy think one catfish apair of chiclids and a couple bichirs. with a couple lizards runing around. throw some plants maybe flowers and i think its gonna look hot

That would be bad ass depending on the catfish. If you get a species that gets to large you could run into problems.

And who really care that they can not swim real well(they can swim fine as long as they have a way to get out ) and need a all glass enclosure(plywood is fine for darts)....

Dart frogs and A panther chameleon... Way way too different to eveen think of working. (i never suggested a panter cham)

Plywood is going to warp in no time with the amount of humidity they need.

Have you seen darts swim? Plus you add decent sized fish and there is a good chance of the frogs getting eaten. Why risk it?

SOme one suggested a panther or a veiled I do believe.

Again I still like the idea of the water dragons or basiliks... Very under appreciated lizards.

And who is flaming? Just pointing out what I know from keeping and breeding darts for many years.

If i went with tree frogs i would wait till i come across a bunch in one the pools . At these abandon propertys i do work on. I find them all the time in the summer. Otherwise no froggys to noisy when u wana sleep. Gonna do jurense catfish. like 3 bichirs. and pair of chiclids. Gonna probly go with watter dragons so the baslik dont hurt it self. Runing into the end of the tank. The setup had watter in it in the past. From what i can tell. I think its gonna be fine for many years. Oncsidering festae. fredrichstali, or red tiger motaguense for my chiclids.

Still need to figure out the lighting im gonna use on the watterfall section. i got to figure a watter proof light out that i can mount up in side it

The Basilisk won't run on the surface of the water in that enclosure. For one, I think they're only capable of that when they're young, and secondly it would recognize the end of the tank and stop. You'd be fine to go with the basilisk.

wich can breed at younger age? like to try and breed the lizards i get i read the dragons cant breed for two years how bout the basalik? how are they being handled?

I have no experience with them personally, just what I have found through research and from reading other's comments on this and other sites. As far as breeding, according to this source (source: http://www.anapsid.org/basilisk.html) you have a better chance at breeding them if they are kept seperate while maturing, however it doesn't say breeding is impossible if they're housed together from the start. It says that they reach maturity around 18-24 months, so not much different from the dragons.

As for handling, (source: http://www.triciaswaterdragon.com/basilisk.htm) it suggests at least once a day for about ten minutes each period.

BTT

personnally i would put some type of HOT in there. but ur about 100 miles too far south to own the good stuff :naughty:
