If you kept or keep tigs, what'd you think of the 10x4m or 33x13ft recommended tank size?

If directed at me, I wasn't trying to ignore that. I can see everything you're saying about PETA etc, making sense without the hard data.
I'm just so shocked at it that I don't know what to say.

The far more disturbing reality is that the hard data even in the highest scientific and medicinal circles are falsified left and right in the interest and the name of the green religion or the money or power or all of the above. If a scientific experiment result turns out not in favor of the political or monetary goal of those who fund the research or control the institution, it is either unpublished (swept under rug, smeared, bullied) or altered to support the goal, or, at most, published in lower tier scientific literature.

In short, coffee research paid for by coffee industry shows clear and wonderful benefits of consuming coffee. Everyone suspects it. No one is too surprised. Still most believe it because it is being broadcast from the "news".

If a scientist has become known to be "disagreeable", they will have a hard life in their chosen profession or will lose it entirely. I am a scientist with a Ph.D. in Photochemical Sciences and other degrees in Chemistry and I worked for the Eastman Kodak Co for 10 years. I know science in the academia and industry from the inside. Praise the Lord my research was never influenced by any political goals.

So, moreover, to be trusted the "hard" data must be from a neutral source, uninfluenced by anyone with a political agenda.

If I sell tigs, my research will show that tigs are fine in a 55 gal.
If I am green, my research will show tigs suffer in 1,000,000 gal.
If I am neutral or at least have a conscience and can't lie, my research shows what? Huge white unknown.

Meanwhile 75% of tigs are kept in a 120 gal, 25% in 500 gal, 0.01% in larger tanks.
