i just watch mine when ever im home. my 55g is right next to my tv so i put something on, get on my laptop and sit on the couch watching my tank. my 10g is on my bar between the kitchen and living room so its hard to miss
i also watch them when i turn off their light and leave on my 1o gallon so there is very little light and it is amazing how active ac are when there lights are offf
I usually sit and view them for about an hour (all tanks), but its usually right after I've done water changes, I'll go from tank to tank and look at them. Otherwise, about 45-60 mins a day, not all on the same tank though.
maybe a couple of hours a day. mainly because my 5mo daughter loves to watch the fish. we watch the fish before i got to school every morning and at night when she's tired. she'll watch them til she falls asleep.
honestly, I've notice i enjoy the excitement of purchasing a new fish then the actual keeping part and watching them. Don't get me wrong, I love watching them but honestly i prolly only watch them 30mins a day and I have atleast 4 tanks set up at all times.
When im breeding is when I can spend hours a day watching just my breeding tank. The only real time i spend with my other tank is feeding time or the weekly quick water change.
