hey what about the tank, every time you flushed you would be changing water

Yeah, that's what I meant.

they ship wine from ever sea's in a plastic bladder in a shipping container then bottle it here, well i got one for my pond buy i never ended up useing it. but yah i looked at shipping containers and though HMMM i bet i could put a window in that and fill it.

but then i ran across a thread where someone wealded 4 together and installed 4 huge windows for his rays.

This is a maple syrup producing area and they use 250-500g plastic tanks to collect the sap.Thought about filling one with fish but the openings only like1'.

I know someone whose parents had a custom tank built to look like a grandfather clock.
Supposedly it is gathering dust in a garage in Nevada, I might have to make a road trip this summer...

1) How much water would one of those 45 foot long...9 foot wide and 4 foot deep monsters hold?

2) What would the best way of filtering one of them be?

3) Heating it?

4) Where could I put one or four of them?

And, of course, the 2 most pressing questions of all...

5) I wonder where they store these things in the off season?

6) Will my new Dodge ram pull one of them empty?

Oddest... Trunk of my 1962 Buick LeSabre...like 180g's :D

We've got those containers here too. they stack them behind an 8ft chainlink fence with three strands of barbwire (they must of heard us coming ;)).

You've seen this right? http://www.aquaticeco.com/index.cfm/fuseaction/product.detail/iid/4111/cid/1169

Ever see them delivering a complete fiberglass pool on a flatbed truck?!!!

Or ever go into a check cashing place and get mesmerized by all that acrylic :drool::drool:.

1) 12135 to the top.

2) Septic tank cleaning truck (new of course) and a years salary worth of scrubbies.

3) Solar (perhaps a large magnifying glass aimed at the sump (truck)).

4) Ask your wife, if her answer isn't an anatomical location go for it, obviously she's more sane than us.

5) See top of answers

6) Absolutely!

Have you considered singing show tunes on you next trip?

Dr Joe

LOL the next trip will be to Atlanta this year and we wont be driving so unless it has wings I probubly wont run into anything I can fill with water....

I have a nice year round creek that runs through my property. If I go no more than 12' deep, by state law, i could do all sorts of things. So many possibilities!!!

automatic water changes....the ability to expand as necessary and you could use clay as a liner....hmmmmmmm what's NOT to like? What does state law say about stocking?
I know in cali if heres a possibility of accadental release like happens on the fish farms in FLA you have to stick to native species.

I've talked to the head of wildlife management, I'd have to stay native. But still, we have a wonderful diversity of natives. I would'nt be able to do trout(bummer), but everything else is pretty much up for grabs.
