ill never use melafix again!

OK well i got a pbass today and he had some ich and some wounds so i added some melafix when i was acilimating it and it almost killed it i took it out and put it in a 55 and i revived it that was some weight lifted off my shoulders

I agree I too use salt; but i also keep and use melafix and had never had any problems

Trying to treat with meds simultaneous to acclimating is trouble waiting to happen IMO.
I wouldn't diss the melafix.

it was about maybe 1/2-3/4 gal. and i added little less then 1/2 one of the top thing on the melafix

update: raised the temp in the tank added salt and now he is doing fine

and that melafix smells odd!

always read the bottle before you attempt anything

melafix doesnt treat ich anyways

The melafix should not have hurt the fish maybe the fish was too far gone. Its all natural so unless you used the wrong dosage I doubt is was the Melafix
