Oscars are carnivorous though so Malawi bloat would not be the problem. I really agree with *bigspizz*, you should try fasting, don't offer the fish any food and see if that helps. How often do you do water changes on the tank, there is another disease that causes the belly to swell and that is dropsy, it is sually caused by poor water conditions. I saw the pictures though and the scales are not protruding. With dropsy the belly will swell and the scales will protrude making the fish look like a pine cone. I have never seen dropsy in a large fish, usually with smaller fish like mollies and tetras. It could also be internal basteria infection or a blockage in the fish caused by a peice of gravel. Either way you should try fasting the fish, if you end up loosing it, you can always do an autopsy afterward and see if it was some kind of blockage. Sorry to hear about your Oscar.
