Illegal fish questions

You've cut me deep now lol

lol Sorry just cannot stand AFL. Wow, this has totally gone off topic or maybe AFL should be illegal lol ;):p:)

Will cut ya some slack tho. You probably still gettin over the state of origin

I sort of gone off league over the last few years. More into proper football ;) and cricket

Hmm... When I fish for snakehead.. a 2nd bite will usually follow if I miss the hook up on 1st bite...
I believe this is because they will tend to pair up to protect their offspring so it's probably just the mate. I don't believe snakehead school like other fish do.

Same with pikes maybe.

Tigers will form huge roaming schools when young ranging from 30-100 (if i remember correctly) them tend to be more sedentry and lonesome as adults

Out of the water yes but that's just spiders and snakes, in freshwater no. I'm not even sure if any freshwater species in Australia have a decent set of teeth on them. Africa would be more dangerous spiders, snakes and mammals that can kill (that includes humans lol)
You guys have the barrumundi - a fish to match anything else. Definitely beats anything out of Africa.
True ;). I wonder who would win if a decent sized pike went up against a snakehead or a goliath tiger fish vs a snakehead. I don't want to see it just wondering
Here in NY, many people are worried that the snakeheads will kill out our pike. The main reason is that snakeheads eat other fish's scales, while pike are just predators, and really pretty docile.I would like the pike to win, but I don't think it would happen.
If I am not wrong, most variants of snakehead hunt in packs so you can imagine a pack of hyenas vs a lion and you have your answer
Two things
1 arapaima prey on pirhanas and blue whale cayfidh so...
2 according to this reasoning, the meanest cichlids are the colony spawners, so N. Brichardi are now tougher than C. Dovii.

I have seen pickerel in small groups in the wild, I think they do that too.

Emperor cichlids are mean apparently, and bigger than Dovii.

Just remember the biggest saltie crocs come from Africa!

Boulengerochromis are definitely bigger than Dovii, and they are mean, but Dovii are swimming tanks. The only thing that was considered in their design was fighting ability. Dovii can barely swim compared to emporers, and are as ugly as can be, but they are powerful fish with strong jaws and big teeth and not much else.

This is opinion based and not entirely accurate. IMO an adult male Dovii is a beautiful animal and has some spectacular colors.
I'm not sure how this thread turned into the baddest fish debate? Oh well, carry on.
